Ring Intercom is a smart home device that connects to existing apartment intercoms, allowing people to answer their door with their smartphones from anywhere. Our challenge was to launch this new product in 5 European markets. So, how did we create demand for an unknown product like Ring Intercom? By showcasing how it helped solve a universal problem when online shopping – waiting for packages to be delivered.
Insight: Waiting for a package to be delivered can be stressful. People feel trapped at home waiting for the delivery driver, anxious that they might miss the delivery, and frustrated when they do miss the delivery. This can cause people to exhibit strange behaviours.
Idea: We created a campaign featuring a character who suffers from F.O.L.O. (Fear Of Losing Orders). The cure to his condition? Ring Intercom.
